In 1981, psychobiologist Roger Sperry won a Nobel Prize for proving that different sides of the brain do different things. Left is analytical and linear. It likes football stats and socks rolled into a ball. Right is intuitive and childlike. It loves the funk and the box of 64 Crayons (although it always misplaces yellow-orange). We contend that the two sides are not mutually exclusive. In fact, the best creative work results when the whole brain is employed.
